10 years anniversary of "Malibu", Anderson Paak's first album
January 15, 2026
On Malibu, the fusion of genres is as fluid as it is masterful: R&B, jazz, soul, and funk blend seamlessly, never feeling repetitive, creating a rich, cohesive, and deeply vibrant musical universe.
Tracklist and guests
The album consists of 16 tracks, on which Anderson .Paak is involved at every level: not only as a vocalist, but also in production and songwriting, personally playing several instruments such as guitar and drums. He surrounds himself with top-tier talent, featuring artists like BJ The Chicago Kid, ScHoolboy Q, as well as Rapsody and The Game.
Anderson .Paak explains that the collage featured on the album symbolizes the different musical genres that run through him: hip-hop, soul, jazz, among others. It reflects his eclecticism and his vision of music—that of a complete and multifaceted artist, who plays piano in the water and, through Malibu, fulfills a true childhood dream.

Malibu will forever remain a landmark album in Anderson .Paak’s discography. Before its release, Anderson .Paak experienced life on the streets, debt, and instability—all while being a father. The album captures that precise moment when life finally begins to breathe, without erasing the scars.
The storytelling and lyrics are therefore both intimate and universal: the fear of falling back, success that arrives late, failures along the way… Anderson .Paak draws us into his inner world and emotional landscape.
